ASA Conflex adhesives from Bostik New Zealand, also known as Asaflex, can be used in places with a high level of vibration, movement and temperature fluctuation. In many buildings and construction, cracks from the concrete base or due to shrinkage can affect overlaid tiles. Asaflex can prevent such ‘strikethrough of cracks. Adhesives can be applied over concrete, brickwork, cement sheeting, timber, plasterboard and waterproof membranes. They can set in just one day alone, at a median temperature of 22°C.
This ASA approved flexible adhesives cannot be used in areas where there is constant contact with water such as swimming pools, bathing areas and spas. Metal or plastic substrates or floors are not suitable to apply the Asaflex. The product has a shelf life of up to 12 months, as long as it doesn’t come in contact with air, humidity and damp. Though it isn’t considered poisonous, ASA Conflex from Bostik New Zealand contains cement and appropriate protective gear must be used by workers.
