McIntosh Timber Laminates Ltd  is operating as a dedicated member of SETMA (Structural Engineered Timber Manufacturers).

Curved Knee Portals offered by McIntosh Timber Laminates Ltd are designed to deliver a clean sweeping appearance by continuous laminations that run from the base to the pinned apex of the building. These portals are of three types such as Reverse Curve, Open Knee and Solid Knee. They are available in various shapes and pitches to suit individual requirements. Reverse Curve Portals are attractive portals, where continuous laminations are curved in both directions. Open Knee Portals are ideal for school halls and swimming pools, where the curved knee section is followed by a parallel form through the curve. Solid Knee Portals are designed with a unique shape that comes with a wall and roof profile on the top side and sweeping curve on inside.

Curved Knee Portals do not contain any external plates or gussets, which usually clutter the overall beauty and continuity of the timber grain. They offer simple installation as all kind of base and apex fittings are pre-fitted in the factory itself, followed by lowering portal halves and securing the apex joint. These portals can be notched or cut or drilled with the approval of McIntosh Designer or Design Engineer. Curved Knee Portals are designed to meet the quality requirements of AS/NZS 1328. The thickness of the laminations is determined by the radius of curvatures.
